Automatic 'strategic project' status for every industrial manufacturing project sited in an acceleration area, granting priority and accelerated treatment under the future Environmental Assessment Regulation.

Promoters of industrial manufacturing projects located within an acceleration area are given a right, and this is not law yet.

All industrial manufacturing projects located within an acceleration area shall be considered strategic projects contributing to resilience and decarbonisation or resource efficiency for the purposes of [Article 14 of Proposal for a Regulation on speeding-up environmental assessment]. Points 1, 2 and 3 of the Annex to that Regulation shall apply.
