(a) Battery energy storage systems: From [OP: Please insert the date = 1 year after entry into force of this Regulation] until [3 years after entry into force of this Regulation], the battery energy storage systems shall originate in the Union and, for projects including battery energy storage exceeding 1 Megawatt-hour, contain a battery management system that originates in the Union.
