Simplification · LIA-01EU-wide harmonised civil liability regime for due-diligence failures is removed from the Directive
What changes
Companies (and the counterparties who could have sued under the EU-wide regime) lose the Directive's own harmonised civil-liability cause of action; liability for due-diligence failures now depends entirely on national law.
